SRL32s vs. BRAMs
The ZCU111 (and most RFSoCs) only have 2010 BRAMs on the part. This provides concern with regard to how efficient our implementation needs to be with BRAMs. See this wiki post for the current thinking on the resource requirements.
We are looking for some definitive numbers as to what are the limits of using SRL32s (Xilinx LUT implementation of a shift register) compared to BRAMs. When are SRL32s appropriate and when are BRAMs? To what extent can SRL32s be used?
